Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Allure Bridals just released their 2023 Disney wedding dress collection, which features gowns inspired by each of the princesses. When it comes to Disney’s Cinderella wedding dresses, they truly are a dream come true.
When designing the gowns, Allure Bridals and Disney took into consideration each of the princesses’ individual personalities as well as 2023 wedding trends. Nikki Deeds, Allure Bridals’ Global Brand Manager, shared with Elite Daily that since color is really popular, “we incorporated a little bit of a blue tone” into one of the Cinderella wedding dresses.
This sweetheart neckline gown with a “platinum” hue gives the “essence of Cinderella.” Deeds shared that the dress also features a glitter tulle. which is new to the collection this year and inspired by the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company.
Korri McFann, the Director of Marketing for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, told Elite Daily that the Cinderella ballgown is one of her favorites this year. The beading and crystal button details really do look like something the Fairy Godmother has conjured up with magic.
This year’s Platinum ballgown is inspired by Cinderella’s carriage, with beaded lace appliqués that are meant to resemble the scrollwork. For the 100th anniversary, McFann says that Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings will also be debuting a new carriage for Disneyland that will have a “pumpkin canopy” and “beautiful vines” inside.
Another great thing about this particular Cinderella wedding dress is that it’s transitional. Deeds revealed that a few of the dresses in the 2023 Disney wedding dress collection were made with “a sheath silhouette with an overskirt that can be taken on and taken off.”
Just like Cinderella bibbidi bobbidi boos into a new dress, you can also go from a formal ballgown at the ceremony to a more form-fitting dress for the reception.
The third Cinderella dress in Disney’s 2023 wedding collection utilizes the new sparkle tulle for the Disney100. “I think we really stepped it up,” Deeds said. She believes the new tulle adds “dimension and shine underneath the lace,” which you can really see in this gown.
Deeds believes Disney’s 2023 wedding dress collection has a lot of “depth and more richness” than previous collections. Up close, you’ll notice a lot of the details that went into this Cinderella bridal gown, like the lace appliqué and beading.
If you’re looking for something other than just a traditional white dress, this Cinderella design also comes in a mocha and champagne shade, as well as ivory and beige — another nod to “pops of color” being a 2023 wedding trend, according to McFann.
