Doja Cat

They don’t call her Doja Cat for nothing. Paying homage to Lagerfeld’s beloved cat Choupette, Doja cat wore a sparkly Oscar de la Renta gown with a built-in hood and cat ears. If the look wasn’t extra enough, Doja also wore unbelievable prosthetics and meowed during her interviews.

Lil Nas X

Nas was covered from head to toe in silver paint and rhinestones (and a thong), complete with sparkly platforms. Look closely and you can see whiskers, an avant-garde approach to the Choupette look. Behind all the paint, the musician was still recognizable.

Florence Pugh

Between the haircut, headpiece, and flowy train, there’s a lot to talk about in Pugh’s look. The actor debuted her new ‘do with this strapless Valentino gown in a Lagerfeld-esque color palette and topped the look off with a feathered headpiece.

Michaela Coel

Met Gala co-chair Michaela Coel had the most luxurious look in this chocolate Schiaparelli gown adorned with stunning gold chains, pearls, crystals, and stones to honor Lagerfeld’s creative touches. It’s no surprise the dress took 3,800 hours to make!

Jared Leto

The internet buzzed over who the cat on the red carpet was. As many guessed, it was Jared Leto. The actor tributed Choupette in a hyperrealistic fur suit, before revealing an embellished, all-black look with a cape, pleated skirt, and mesh blouse.

Cardi B

Why pick one look when you could do two? The rapper first appeared in a pink gown with a billowing tulle headpiece. But when Cardi hit the striped carpet (?), she appeared in a silver wig and collared, black floral gown with totally glamorous vibes.

Cara Delevingne

The model’s experimental look had people debating: are legwarmers back? Delevingne honored Lagerfeld’s look with a platinum shaggy ‘do and fingerless gloves. Her flowy shirtdress and thigh-high legwarmers added an edgy touch.
