Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah? The Summer I Turned Pretty's Cast Weighs In

Jenny Han’s beloved book, The Summer I Turned Pretty, is now a Prime Video series. At the show’s New York premiere on June 14, Elite Daily asked the cast about the central love triangle Belly is stuck in: Team Jeremiah or Team Conrad? (Warning: Very light spoilers follow.)

Christopher Briney (Conrad)

“It's in my contract. I have to be team Conrad,” Briney jokes. “I read the books and I really appreciate the character.”

Gavin Casalegno (Jeremiah)

“I'm a little biased, of course. I'm a lot like Jeremiah, so I understand where he's coming from,” Casalegno says. “I’m definitely Team Jeremiah; it’d be illegal if I wasn’t.”

Sean Kaufman (Steven)

“I'm going to have to go with Team Cam!” Kaufman says, referring to Belly’s other Season 1 love interest, played by David Iacono. “He might not be what she's looking for, but he is the perfect boyfriend, man, actor, person. Now I'm just talking about David.”

Minnie Mills (Shayla)

Sean isn’t the only Cam-Belly shipper. Mills tells Elite Daily: “Team Cam, 100%. Ask me any day, I will rant about it. I am Team Cam.”

Summer Madison (Nicole)

Despite her character’s crush on Conrad, Madison says, “I'm Team Jeremiah. Conrad stressed me out this season.”

Han knows how this story ends better than anyone, but she’s keeping those secrets hidden.“I say whatever Belly wants, Belly should have,” Han says.
