Of Course Zoë Kravitz's Gown At The NYC Premiere Of The Batman Had Cat Silhouettes

It was — wait for it — purrfection.

The cat’s out of the bag: Zoë Kravitz is going to spend the remainder of her time at The Batman premieres serving look after look. After keeping things sleek and subtle with (possible) bat cutouts at the London premiere, Zoë brought a more kittenish ensemble to New York City.

From top to bottom, Kravitz gives glam cat lady. First off, there’s the nude and slightly smokey cat eye, plus a curly wisp of ultra-delicate baby bang.

The rest of the new Catwoman’s glam was reminiscent of glowing old Hollywood via a full, bold brow, subtle contour, and rosy lip. Accessories-wise, the High Fidelity actor kept things simple but stunning with glittering studs.

The real star of the show was the cat’s cradle bodice on Kravitz’s custom Oscar de la Renta gown. The double cat face bust managed to evoke the essence of the comic book character without sacrificing any elegance or looking like a costume.

The gown wasn’t just on theme when it came to the bodice. The fabric choice — a deep, rich velvet — also gave major cat’s meow vibes.

Despite the fact that the dress is a somewhat literal interpretation of the character Kravitz plays in The Batman, the taste level stayed impeccable, thanks to the hip-hugging fit and pristine tailoring.

The gown also features what’s fast becoming a premiere signature for Kravitz: a knee-high slit up one side. It’s tasteful elegance, but it also means the Mad Max: Fury Road star could move comfortably across the red carpet.

The slinky, strapless look certainly stood out against co-star Robert Pattinson’s Tom Ford ensemble, featuring a coat with a broad collar that hinted at bat, while Kravitz’s gown purred cat.
