Before she got to interviewing, Laverne Cox stunned everyone with her chic gown.
Unfortunately, viewers could tell she was clearly reading from a prompter.
Everyone quickly picked up on her signature sign-off.
And her go-to responses also became very apparent.
She also had a flub when interviewing Regina Hall, accidentally calling her show Black Monday “Black Friday.”
Some viewers pointed the blame at whoever was in Cox’s hear, rather than the star herself.
There’s only so much we can hear the word “iconic” before it loses all meaning.
Cox is incredible in TV shows and movies, but some viewers think a reporter should handle red carpet interviews.
On the other hand, other viewers loved how Cox put a spotlight on the fashions in her interviews.
Overall, while the E!red carpet left viewers split on Cox’s interviewing abilities, at least the event was full of fun, conversation-starting chaos.
