Erich Schwer may have received a 1-on-1 date rose from Gabby Windey during the July 25 episode of The Bachelorette, but based on the memes about the date, fans aren’t so sure he deserved it.

Right from the start, fans were not getting a good feeling about Erich.
Gabby’s Grandpa John joined the date, and fans did not like the fact that Erich didn’t offer him the front seat when they drove to their first location.
Then, when Gabby opened up to Erich about her difficult relationship with her mom, he didn’t really give much of a response.
In fact, he kind of just sat there and drank his champagne.
Like, he really just simply sat there.
Gabby got so emotional that she got up and left the table. Meanwhile, Erich continued to just... sit.
After seeing Erich’s lack of a response, fans felt really protective of Gabby.
Fans offered a whole bunch of ideas for how Erich maybe could have reacted differently.
Fans are also worried Gabby has her expectations set too low when it comes to Erich.
Gabby even thanked him at the end of the date, and fans aren’t exactly sure what she was thanking him for. Could this date have been majorly edited to cut out some gallant efforts by Erich?
A lot of fans just feel Gabby deserves a lot better than Erich.
