Bio
Valerie Mesa is a clairsentient astrologer, writer, and communications professional with a passion for the cosmos. She writes horoscopes and zodiac-related content for Elite Daily’s lifestyle vertical, where she looks to the stars for clarity and celestial validation. Wondering how you’re going to get through the next Mercury retrograde cycle? Not to worry, she’s got you covered. Valerie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Florida International University, and a minor in Marketing. After more than five years in the Public Relations industry, where she worked with clients such as Apple, HBO, and more, she ventured into the entertainment business, joining the Digital Exclusives editorial team at Telemundo NBCUniversal. During her career at NBCU, Valerie covered award shows, conducted celebrity interviews, and within a year, her life-long passion for astrology became a muse for Facebook Live, and digital production “Astrollywood.” During this time, she had the privilege of interviewing and reading live birth charts for celebrities such as Eiza González, Halle Berry, Jackie Cruz, and more. In addition to Elite Daily, Valerie currently writes horoscopes for Betches, Boxycharm’s Blog “The B Word,” and Love by Luna; she is also The Mujerista’s resident astrologer. Her work has been featured on E! News, Women’s Health, Broadly, LatinxNow!, Pop Sugar, and more. When Valerie isn’t writing about the cosmos, she is busy swooning over her half Main Coon, half Ragdoll kitty that goes by the name of Wizard. She is currently studying for her spiritual life coach certification, in hopes of integrating it with her knowledge of astrology, in order to give her clients and readers the ultimate experience.
