Bio

Melissa is the CoFounder and CEO of The GREEN Program. With passions for travel and adventure, at the age of 19, Lee and her team fused together a cutting-edge formula of academia and travel to created a recipe for education abroad that has never been done before. The GREEN Program serves to challenge higher education standards, and work alongside universities to integrate their unique educational model into existing STEM curricula around the world. The GREEN Program currently hosts programs in Iceland, Peru, and Philadelphia while working with more than 200 universities around the world to build the future of socially responsible GenY leaders. The GREEN Program has been recognized as a "Top 10 Young Company Driving Social Innovation" by the United Nations, "Top 3 Student Founded Company in the World" by the New York Stock Exchange, a Global Partner of The World Bank Group's Connect4Climate, "Commitment Partner Dedicated to Doubling the Number of Students Studying Abroad" by the Institute of International Education, MTV ChangeMakers, NAWBO Environmental Advocate of the Year and "Green Innovator of the Year" in Philadelphia, where they are headquartered.
