Jess Ferguson

Jess Ferguson is a lifestyle editorial intern for BDG, working on Elite Daily, Bustle, NYLON, and TZR. At BDG, Jess contributes stories ranging from the latest fashion trends going viral on social media to hidden details about pop stars’ concerts.

Previously, Jess was an editorial intern for Flaunt magazine, a copy desk intern for The Boston Globe, and a freelance copyeditor for The Boston Herald. At Flaunt, she contributed primarily online articles in the lifestyle sphere, particularly content about fashion week shows, emerging musical artists, and fine art exhibitions. Across all of her professional work, she has also done extensive fact-checking and copy-editing for both print and web content.

Jess is a recent graduate from Emerson College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a minor in Narrative Nonfiction. At Emerson, she wrote and edited for several on-campus magazines, often producing features or personal essays centered around arts and culture. Topics she's covered vary from the fast fashion industry, to the opioid epidemic, to local art communities, to grief.

A pop culture fanatic, Jess can often be found catching up on the latest releases in music, film, and television. She is also interested in film photography, thrifting, puzzles, baking, drinking exorbitant amounts of coffee, and collecting vinyl records. A Massachusetts native, she enjoys exploring museums and restaurants around Boston in her free time.
