If you know anything about me, then you know how much I hate showering. Yes, I do it, but I don't enjoy it. It's a cold, wet and vulnerable place that you're stuck in for 15 minutes with your own thoughts and ADD.
It's not really the shower I hate so much, but the process afterwards. You know -- drying off before you can put your clothes on, only to spend the next hour fixing your hair and moisturizing your body.
I'm not going to lie: to expedite this process I use my blow dryer on not only my hair, but also my entire body. This takes seconds compared to the minutes I waste toweling down. Sounds ridiculous? Well, it may but I know for a fact I am not the only person to do this -- especially females.
But now, this ridiculous move is about to get replaced by an Indieogo campaign for an item coined The Body Dryer. It's everything you could imagine and more.
Basically, this technology resembles a standard scale except it blows the water off your body every time you step out of the shower.
You may be asking yourself: WHY? Have we really gotten this lazy as a society that this product has become necessary?
Despite what you may believe, this isn't about laziness at all (even though that is the exact reason I will be purchasing this item) -- it's about the prevention of germs.
The founder of this genius invention is Tyler Overk, who explained:
There is a problem with the growth of bacteria on a towel's wet, warm surface if it's not allowed to dry properly. If you dry off with it again, you are putting those bacteria back onto yourself.
The best part is you can control the temperature and the device can even serve as an actual scale.
When it hits the market, it will retail for $250.
Sign me up immediately. I don't care how much this costs because showering just got a whole lot better with this 30-second miracle.
