Make It Stop: 20 Weird Fast Food Creations No One Ever Asked For

The hybrid food trend has taken over the dining scene with restaurants and bakeries everywhere creating food mashups, such as the Cronut, the ramen burger, the sushiritto, the doughrito and, most recently, grilled cheese tacos.

Some, of course, are more successful than others.

Fast food chains were fast to jump aboard the hybrid hype, creating various food mashups from the infamous KFC Double Down to various Nerd slushies at Sonic.

But American fast food locations are not the only ones creating fast food hybrids; many international fast food locations have introduced some pretty awful fast food mashups as well, including the hot dog stuffed pizza crust, which is available at Pizza Hut UK.

Read on to discover past and present fast food mashups that will turn your stomach upside down.

The Pizza-Size Burger from Burger King

This is next-level family-style dining.

The entire pizza burger consists of four Whopper burger patties sliced into six sections with a whopping (pun intended) 2,520 calories and 144 grams of fat. This pizza burger is only available at the BK Whopper Bar in Times Square.

The Big Apple, amirite?

The Kuro Burger from Burger King

Available in Japan, the Kuro, meaning black, burger contains a black bun, cheese colored with bamboo charcoal and squid ink ketchup. Creative.

The Most American Thickburger from Carl's Jr. & Hardee's

Introducing the Most American Thickburger.

In addition to American cheese, pickles, red onions, lettuce and tomatoes, this half-pound burger is topped with a sliced hot dog and kettle cooked potato chips. Because, why not?

And it only has 1,030 calories. Win-win.

Mac 'n Cheese Pizza from CiCi's

This dish is having an identity crisis.

Pasta? Pizza? Pasta? Pizza? Both. The pizza is topped with mac 'n cheese and then topped with more cheese.

Cheese overload.

The Pizzabon from Cinnabon

It's basically a pizza in roll form. Not sure if this is genius or pointless.

Fried Cheese Melt from Denny's

What would make a grilled cheese sandwich better? Fried cheese, of course.

This item is no longer on the menu, but you can definitely whip this up in your college kitchen after a late-night trip to the dining hall.

The Bacon and Eggs Donut Sandwich from Dunkin' Donuts

Can't decide between sweet or savory?

Luckily Dunkin' Donuts has made the decision much easier for you with its bacon and egg donut sandwich.

The Double Down from KFC

The Double Down uses two chicken filets to sandwich together bacon, cheese and sauce. This fast food creation is no longer available in KFC, but support for its revival is strong.

The Double Down Dog from KFC

Because the Double Down wasn't enough, KFC introduced the Double Down Dog. Yum.

Mac and Cheese Bites from KFC

KFC fried mac 'n cheese bites might melt our hearts, but they will also induce a heart attack (most likely). These bites are only available at KFC locations in the Philippines.

Fish Donuts from KFC

Before the Cronut, there was the fonut, the fish donut. And it is only available in Singapore. Yes, it's fried fish shaped in a circular disc.

Hot Dog Bites Pizza from Pizza Hut

Pigs in a blanket and pizza?

Pizza Hut just announced the launch of the hot dog bites pizza, which will be available in the US on June 18.

The Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza from Pizza Hut

Probably one of the most bizarre fast food mash ups is the hot dog stuffed crust pizza. It is available in the UK and the UK only.
