What We Can All Learn From Kanye West's Excessive Self-Confidence

Hate him or love him, Kanye West is the definition of Marmite.

Whether he's onstage wrestling Taylor Swift for awards, telling everyone he's the greatest thing since Walt Disney and Steve Jobs, or using Twitter as a blog, you've got to hand it to him: He sure believes in himself.

I'm a huge fan of Kanye, not just for his perfectly produced music, but for his "cray cray" speeches, which always seem to make quite a lot of sense when you start to (slowly) dissect what has just come out of his mouth.

Honestly, try it. You'll find yourself agreeing with him, even if you don't think it's a good idea he run for president!

I've decided to pick out some of Kanye's best quotes over the years and explain why his attitude is something we should all adopt.

"Don't ask me what I think the best song of last year was. Because my opinion is the same as most of America's: It was 'Gold Digger.'" --  Rolling Stone, 2006

We all have the ability to produce great work. And yet, a lot of us have a phobia of bragging about our success.

Take a page out of Kanye's book: If you get a promotion, celebrate it! If you create a beautiful piece of art, put that on all of your social media platforms to show it off!

Never be afraid to big-up your work. If you're proud of it, that's all that matters.

"Come on, now! How could you be me and want to be someone else?" -- Guardian, 2005

Love yourself. Because if you don't, who will?

"When I think of competition, it's like I try to create against the past. I think about Michelangelo and Picasso. You know, the pyramids." -- Slate, 2010

You can only be ambitious when you're driven. So, whatever drives you, use that to your advantage.

Whether it's money, creating something better than the pyramids (Oh, Kanye!), or putting food on the table, always have a goal.

"I am so credible and so influential and so relevant that I will change things." -- New York Times, 2003

The next time you're at a job interview, make sure you tell them exactly what you're about and how you can help them.

It's all very good stating what skills you have, but lay out your goals and explain how you can achieve them.

"When someone comes up and says something like, 'I am a God,' everybody says, 'Who does he think he is?' I just told you who I thought I was: a God. I just told you. That's who I think I am. -- BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, 2013

No matter what, Kanye does not let anyone get in his way.

There are no such things as "haters" in Kanye's eyes because he ignores negativity left, right and center!

"You can't look at a glass half-full or empty if it's overflowing." -- Kanye, Twitter

Kanye has no ability or time to be negative about himself. Everything is beyond optimistic, and that's because he truly believes in himself.

So the next time you're questioning life, maybe picture how good it really is, rather than looking for what's missing from it!

Don't you just love him?
